Scholarships are awarded every year to undergraduate engineering students by the Minnesota Professional Engineers Foundation (MPEF), the non-profit, charitable foundation of MnSPE.

 

The application deadline for 2017 scholarships has passed. The 2018 scholarship application will be posted on this page in fall 2017.

 



Am I eligible?

Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program at a college or university in the state of Minnesota and have at least sophomore status or above for the current school year are eligible to apply.

 

Is the engineering program at my school ABET-accredited?

Engineering programs at the following Minnesota schools are ABET-accredited:

  • Iron Range Engineering
  • University of Minnesota
  • University of Minnesota-Duluth
  • University of St. Thomas
  • Minnesota State University Mankato
  • St. Cloud State University
  • Winona State University

What criteria are used to award scholarships?

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, essay and personal statement, work and volunteer experience, a letter of recommendation and more.

What is the MN Professional Engineers Foundation (MPEF)?

MPEF promotes careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). We do this by providing scholarships to college students, sponsoring and staffing STEM community events, and providing financial support to existing education and outreach programs.
