Course Description: This class meets for 13 sessions over approximately seven weeks. Topics covered include combustion, dynamics, engineering economics (brief overview) fans/ducts and compressible flow, fluids and hydraulic machines (two sessions), heat transfer, HVAC, machine design (two sessions), mechanics of materials and failure theory, power cycles, statics and mechanics of materials, and thermodynamics. Live Course Location: The office of Gausman & Moore Associates, 1700 W. Hwy. 36 in Roseville.
Webinar Requirements: All Webinar sites must have a computer with Internet access. To use the VoIP audio option, your computer must have speakers. To speak using the VoIP option, a headset and microphone is required. Using the phone option, a land line phone is required (no cell phones). An LCD projector is suggested for sites with more than one student. See the PE and FE Exam Review Course Policies included on the registration form for more information.
Materials: The class will utilize textbooks published by Professional Publications, Inc. (PPI): the Mechanical Engineering Reference Manual, 12th Ed. (Lindeburg) and Practice Problems for the Mechanical Engineering PE Exam, 12th Ed. (Lindeburg) are required for this course. Recommended but not required are the Mechanical PE Sample Exam, Lindeburg and Six Minute Solutions for the various afternoon exam sections. These books are allowed in the exam room in Minnesota. Check your state licensure board for specific rules on what is allowed in the exam room in your state.

Cost: The cost for the entire course is $600 for MSPE/NSPE members ($850 for non-members) or $60/members ($95/non-members) for individual sessions. These prices are per person and apply to the live site and webinar course. Contact MSPE for information on group webinar rates.
