Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam Review Course

Course Description: This class meets for 12 sessions over eight weeks. Topics covered include mathematics (3 sessions); AC and DC electricity; biology; chemistry and materials science; dynamics; electronics, computers and instrumentation; engineering economics; ethics; fluids; mechanics of materials; power cycles and heat transfer; statics; and thermodynamics. The course also includes 30 day access to PPI’s Online Exam Café, providing you with over 2000 problems similar to those found on the FE exam. Live Course Location: The office of Hammel, Green & Abrahamson, 701 Washington Ave. North in Minneapolis.

Webinar Requirements: All Webinar sites must have a computer with Internet access. To use the VoIP audio option, your computer must have speakers. To speak using the VoIP option, a headset and microphone is required. Using the phone option, a land line phone is required (no cell phones). An LCD projector is suggested for sites with more than one student. See the PE and FE Exam Review Course Policies included on the registration form for more information. 

Materials: Included with your paid registration is a copy of the FE Supplied-Reference Handbook (8th Ed. Revised). The class will utilize textbooks published by Professional Publications, Inc. (PPI). The FE Review Manual, 2nd Ed. (Lindeburg) and 1001 Solved Engineering Fundamentals Problems, 3rd Ed. (Lindeburg) are required for this course. Recommended but not required is the FE/EIT Sample Exam, Lindeburg. When ordered through MSPE, you’ll receive 15% off the regular purchase price for the required and recommended books! Cost: The cost for the entire course is $350 for MSPE/NSPE members ($550 for non-members). These prices are per person and apply to the live site and webinar course. Contact MSPE for information on group webinar rates. These prices are valid for the review course prior to the fall 2010 exam and do not include books. The full course registration also includes 30 day access to PPI’s online exam café (see information in the course description above).
